So far, this drive has worked very well. I feel much more secure being able to back up all my important files on an external hard drive I can store in a separate location from my computer. This one fills the bill and fit the budget.

When this arrived by UPS GRound I noticed immediately that the Amazon box rattled. Not a good sound to hear when the contents are an external hardrive. The rattle turned out to be a screw inside of the external drive casing. I immediately sent the drive back to Amazon as defective and they refunded my money. I'm not going to give the menufacter of this junk anther chance. I'm looking for reliable mass storage elsewhere.
